Description field is changed again. Now, Description field either is blank or reads "(revised)" only.

Suggestion: New eBay US page contains one only text string like this:

etafsharetitle="Class 2.5 DC 0-20V Voltage Panel Meter Gauge Voltmeter 85C17"

This is used for the "email to a friend" option and would be a good place to get the description field.

More: There are two 'etaf' fields:

BOM reads the item title from the title-tag of the site.

I just looked up some items on .com and my items are working properly with the old version. So it seems as if ebay has not yet finished their fubar with the sites. Please give me some time to check this issue, it's of no use repairing every itch while ebay still is in progress.

In addition I checked your search string and found item #311317386240 with the totally new design wanted by Devil Weenie which does no longer contain the information box about seller's feedback but a single string on top of the BIN-Button. Maybe because the seller is from China and listed an international offer.

The thing is that in accordance to my information this layout is a test until now ebay wants to gather information about buyer's reaction. So maybe this is only a temporary layout.

Anyway I looked up the source of the modified site and with the site .com delivered to me with new layout the title-tag detection should work properly. Are You sure that You are using the lates serverstrings.ini?

Meanwhile I can duplicate the problem. But I do not understand why it happens. The title-tag is where it has to be.

After some testing I do not yet understand why it doesn't work and why the etaf-ID doesn't work too. Both should - but "should" might be not enough.

So for now I looked up some other matches in the code and found this one working:

By that I also modified my UA to a newer version but that's only to avoid ebay gives me some strange sites because of an old System.

I tested the new .com.ini (the one I uploaded) with the voltmeter and it works.

Please let me know if You still encounter probs. At the moment my BOM doesn't find seller's name and feedback on .com. OMG - if they would only work that hard to fix their f'ing software as they do f'ing up their layout.

First workaround for such probs should be switching the server to .de.ini because that's the one I use. So oc it's the one I usually modify first. Seller's nick e.g. is already hotfixed here until they mess it up again.

But it's a very hot fix, ebay is working hard on the layout. During three tests I received three different results when I tried to fix the feedback.

Hallo.

Bei mir werden die Versandkosten immer falsch angezeigt. Es wird immer das 100-fache der korrekten Versandkosten angezeigt. Das gleiche Problem habe ich auch auf meinem Notebook. Auf beiden Rechnern benutze ich BOM in Wine. Der eine Rechner läuft mit Debian 7, das Notebook mit einer alten Ubutuversion. Kann man das irgendwie einstellen. gibt es dafür eine Configurationsdatei?

Scheint so als ob dir bei den Artikeln die Versandkosten falsch angezeigt werden, wenn BOM die ebay-Seite darstellt.

Merkwürdig daran ist, dass Du anscheinend nur von den Versandkosten sprichst, die Gebote aber wohl korrekt angezeigt werden.

Prüf trotzdem mal, welches Dezimalttrennzeichen Du in deinem WINE eingestellt hast. DE mag da gerne ein Komma sehen, keinen Punkt. Zumindest fürs Bieten hat BOM nämlich eine Option in den Serverstrings, wenn er die dann auch zum Auslesen anwendet, könnte das eine Systemeinstellung übergehen und schon hast Du den "Fehler" nur bei dem, was nicht mit den Geboten zu tun hat.

Ich weiß die exakte Lösung grad nicht auswendig aber es war irgendwas mit LC_ALL=irgendwas. Steht in einem anderen Thread hier im Forum.

In Wine kann man irgendwo ein Dezimaltrennzeichen einstellen? Das ist mir neu. Wo soll man das machen? Und wie?

Nur die Versandkosten werden falsch angezeigt. Das ist auf beiden Rechnern so und war auch nie anders.

When I do a login test under options for either Ebay.com or Ebay.ca I receive a Login Failed message and a tab in FireFox (v. 36 on 32 bit Win 7) opens up with the following path:

I did look up the above in the Forum but my Google translation of page:

The post you refer to is almost 5 years old. I doubt that it can be any help to your current problem. Do you use curl? Settings/Connection/Use curl. If so and if you haven't reinstalled BOM recently I assume your version of curl is too old to support the current ssl requirements from eBay. Please download the latest setup.exe from the download page and reinstall. Even if you think that you already have to latest version.

Downloading and installation of latest setup.exe solved the problem which as you point out must have been an outdated curl version

Hallo und guten Abend,

ich habe den Automatikmodus eingeschaltet.
Wenn ich "beobachtete Artikel lesen": 1. "Artikel lesen und abgleichen" oder 2. "Artikel lesen und anhängen" klicke, werden zwar neue Artikel hinzugefügt und abgelaufene oder gelöschte Artikel entfernt, aber nicht die Artikel selbst aktualisiert. Ist das richtig so?
Ich weiß, dass der Button "Infos für Artikel updaten" diese Funktion hat, fände es aber gut, wenn ich nicht jedes Mal beide Buttons betätigen müsste, bzw. das Lesen und Updaten der Artikel komplett automatisch in regelmäßigen Abständen einstellbar wäre. Geht das evtl.??

Naja die neu eingelesenen Artikel sollten schon aktuell sein.

Die Funktion dient aber dazu, deine Beobachtungsliste aus ebay rauszuholen. Das Update der anderen Artikel macht BOM dann nicht von selbst. Dazu dann einfach STRG+U drücken, dann musst Du keinen Button anklicken.

Automatisches Aktualisieren stellst Du in BOM mit "Fenster -> Einstellungen -> Automatik" ein

Dann kannst Du unten einstellen, wie oft BOM welche Artikel aktualisieren soll.

Momentan würde ich aber nicht dazu raten, dauernd zu aktualisieren. ebay bastelt derzeit an den Seiten rum, mit jedem Aktualisieren läufst Du also Gefahr, dass Du dir eine Seite "einfängst", die kriminellst verbastelhamstert ist und mit der BOM in dem Moment nichts anfangen kann. Ich hab mir am Sonntag auf die Art eine Seite eingefangen, die kein Auktionsende hatte - BOM wollte da dann erst im Jahre 2111 drauf bieten.

das hat meine Fragen beantwortet.
Ich bin kein "Tastaturabeiter" eher ein "Buttonklicker", weil meine rechte Hand sowieso an der Maus fest gewachsen ist
Aber die Einstellmöglichkeiten unten auf "Fenster -> Einstellungen -> Automatik" hatte ich irgendwie übersehen.
Zusatzfrage
Wenn ich also alle beobachteten Artikel stündlich automatisch aktualisieren will, ist dann die Einstellung:
"x" bis Auktionsende "nur nächster" alle "10" Sekunden
"x" bis "3" Min. vor Auktion alle "60" Min.
Artikelauswahl "alle Artikel"
richtig??

Also der Pop Login funktioniert nicht sauber. Obwohl alle 5 minuten geprüft wird, reagiert die Software auf die Befehle erst nach Ewigkeiten. Mal sind es 20 Minuten mal eine Stunde und länger.

Wenn ich zwischendurch die Pop Verbindung über den Pop Test BUtton prüfe, schlägt der Test in der Regel fehl.

Mit meinen Email CLient prüfe ich meine Emails je nach Konto zwischen 2 und 10 Minuten. Es gibt nie Probleme. Meine Emails laufen über einen Bezahlanbieter mit eigener Domain.

Was kann ich tun um dem auf die Schliche zu kommen ?

My problem is in reverse - B-O-M DOESN'T shut down system after the end of all auctions. But it does when I launch B-O-M with expired auction list. Previous version worked correct with it.

Was hat denn die Tastaturbedienung mit der rechten Hand zu tun?

Also ich bin Klavierspieler, greife die Dodezime problemlos und spiele auch Rachmaninoff ohne mich besonders zu verrenken. Ich komm mit meiner linken Pranke also auch ohne Einsatz des Daumens notfalls quer über eine Desktop-Tastatur, während die fette Microsoft-Fünftasten-Maus locker unter der rechten Pfote vergraben bleibt.


Zusatzantwort: ja, das sollte BOM dazu bringen, alle Artikel automatisch zu aktualisieren. Wenn Du allerdings viele Artikel drin hast, solltest Du mit cURL arbeiten und "gleichzeitges Aktualisieren" noch anhaken, wenn du tatsächlich immer alle aktualisieren willst. Mein BOM hat regelmäßig zwischen 700 und 1500 Artikel im Bauch, da braucht er für alle Artikel schon recht lange. Und zum Bieten interessiert mich ja nur der jeweils nächste.
